This was a definite improvement after the 2nd book. I do get the feeling like she's a bit scattered in the writing but well, after the 2nd book i haven't come to expect much. She's in her early twenties in this book but i see the same pattern of putting herself in really stupid and/or dangerous situations when something doesn't happen the way she anticipates. The occasional lyrical writing was nice, and the humorous bits at the end were a bonus. I will be reading Book 4 & 5 to see what happens along the way to her, and what becomes of her son.
